Light the Night Christmas Parade

Mark your calendars for Friday December 6, 2024 for our annual Light the Night Christmas Parade! Parade starts at 6:30 and runs along Main Street between the intersection of Washington Street and Edison Street.

After the parade head on over to Marktplatz for Afterglow. This free event features diverse foods, local wines, holiday shopping and family entertainment!

Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance! Get your FREE photo taken with Santa at the Whimsical Peppermint Platz, located under Kinder Halle.

Fredericksburg Christmas Tree Lighting

November 26, 2024 – January 6, 2025, nightly at 6 p.m.

In partnership with the City of Fredericksburg, the Fredericksburg Convention & Visitor Bureau will celebrate Weihnachtszeit or the Christmas season with Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights, a nightly holiday lighting of Marktplatz. All are invited to enjoy a 10-minute audio presentation at 6 p.m. featuring history, holiday carols and concluding with the lighting countdown. Holiday music will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude at 6:30 p.m. each evening.
